About the VYC…
The Venture Yacht Club of San Diego is a friendly, family oriented club catering to all trailer sailors ~ new or experienced. There is something for every member of the family. We have approximately 65% participation at our meetings and 90% of the members are active in one way or another. We hold races regularly and race as a fleet with other clubs. The club plans at least one social or cruising event each month. (See Current Calendar). We have an extensive video library, which is both educational and entertaining. The videos offer ideas on improving sailing skills, show blue water cruises and give tips on racing. The VYCSD is a member of the San Diego Association of Yacht Clubs.
Our General Membership meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the Bay Room of the Santa Clara Point Recreation Center, 1008 Santa Clara Place, Mission Beach.A social is held from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. before each meeting. (CLICK HERE for directions to the meeting)
Most of our members are Venture or MacGregor yacht owners, but the club is open to all trailerable mono-hull sailboat owners. We have a one time $40 initiation fee and annual dues are $40 per year. The club publishes a enewsletter - The Jibsheet - once a month for all members.
